With over 50 years of experience in 10 industry-leading
companies from both
the public and private business sectors, Steve and Loc wanted to use their
experiences to expand the utilization of molded cable assembly technology within
the industry.
" our decision to form ISC was based solely on the desire to focus on utilizing
our strengths in solution oriented problem solving in the interconnect industry and at the
same time provide specialty products that would make it easier to gain the benefits afforded by molded cable assembly
solutions. "
ISC was founded by Steve Burk and Loc Ha.
They
have worked together since 1984
at Tri-Tec Engineering, a leader in molded cable assembly technology. Tri-Tec was acquired by
Kierulff Electronics in 1986. Steve later became president of Tri-Tec, prior to the
company later being acquired by Berg in 1991. In 1991 they joined together to
own IEI. Here they developed a leadership position in the PCMCIA
market. Richey Electronics, a leading interconnect distributor, wanted to expand its capabilities into the molded cable
assembly business and aligned itself with IEI in 1993 to develop these capabilities.
Richey then acquired IEI in August 1995. Until the formation of ISC, Steve and Loc
continued with Richey Electronics as part of the sale of IEI. Here
they were instrumental in the growth of Richey's custom cable assembly business. Arrow
Electronics acquired Richey Electronics in January 1999.
We welcome your suggestions and ideas on how we can make our company a better
supplier and an improved partner to your business.
Sincerely.......Steve and Loc June 3,1999
